Your project

We begin every project with an initial consultation at your property as this is a great opportunity for us to find out more about what you’re looking for and to talk through possible ideas.  We don’t make a charge for this first stage; after our meeting we’ll send you a quotation so you can decide if you want to take things further.

As one of the most experienced architects in Harrogate, at Horsley Townsend we’re a Royal Institute of British Architecture (RIBA) chartered practice and use the standard RIBA appointments.  This simply means that we divide the way we work into approximately four stages and offer our clients the flexibility to appoint us for as many, or as few, stages as they like.

The initial stage of any project is up to the submission of a planning application which can then be followed by the submission a building regulations application.

The next stage is for us to prepare the detailed construction drawings; these can then be used by you to find the most competitively priced builder.  Once you’ve appointed a builder, they will then use the drawings to construct your project.

The last stage is for us to assist you whilst your project is in its construction phase.
